about Clay Bennett...

The son of a career army officer, Bennett led a nomadic life, attending ten different schools before graduating in 1980 from the University of North Alabama with degrees in Art and History. After brief stints as a staff artist at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Fayetteville (NC) Times, he went on to serve as the editorial cartoonist for the St. Petersburg Times (1981-1994) and The Christian Science Monitor (1997-2007), before joining the staff of the ...

Remember the reason for the 2ND amendment is not so people can go hunting. It was not so they can hunt and kill for food. The reason was so people could defend themselves from tyranny of government. It was so people could join a militia to defend the country. Could they do that if the need came about? Probably not, but is that reason to abort or infringe on the amendment?

I really don't get what the deal is with North Korea's Kim Jong Un. It's as if he's suicidal or something. Is the man really stupid enough to attack us or South Korea?

I'm sure that I'll be accused of changing my mind, but if they take one step into South Korea or lob a missile at us, I'm all for annihilating North Korea, by any means necessary.

Then again, this could all be propaganda, as a means for establishing a reason for the United States to invade yet another country to perpetuate the war machine.

I know you think that the Government is being tyrannical to you, because they tax you at a higher rate, and I'm guessing that your next step is you wanting to take up arms to hold the IRS hostage until they lower income tax rates for single people and those who rent, but I'm not quite sure that there are many people ready to join you in your fight.

No, I rather complain and bug the politicians peacefully. I avoid any reason for the IRS to be interested in me even if I pay taxes I might could have avoided. The number not married and the number renting is growing so one never knows when interest and support for fairness for singles might increase. There is no valid reason for all the headers on the tax tables. I had always heard two can live cheaper than one but not only because they had a lower tax rate. The IRS may be the most powerful unchecked entity in government.

BTW..I agree with you on North Korea but maybe Dennis Rodman has solved that problem....LMAO. Do you think Obama will call him or accept a call from him?

That about size it all up. Manufactured terrorists=manufactured threats=manufactured insurgents=manufactured gangs=--=--=-====___ and the list of fears just get larger and larger and more and more strange----no problem. As Herman Goering suggested: kicking and screaming all the way, the people will finally come around to their leaders biddings. Just make them believe they are about to be invaded, and ..............*

DUG excerpt:

"Why, of course the people don't want war. Why would some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best that he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally, the common people don't want war; that is understood."

"But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship."

"Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger. It works the same way in any country."

'cause it's 3.

"So, you "Christians" don't have any set doctrine, so you sit around and debate."

I would never expect you to even come close to grasping the concept of having the freedom to question and discuss that which can be found in ther Bible, in order to come to an understanding of it.

You're one of the many sheep who have been taught to never question what is taught you. They've got it all figured out.

"You argue that "Jesus was simply a human" and "Jesus did indeed sin" while another "Christian" expounds on the wonderful planet he is promised by Joseph Smith."

Sir...if you can prove that Jesus was not a walking, talking human man, just like yourself, then cite the Biblical scripture that proves it. I'm not interested in the opinions of others who have written about Jesus. I want proof.

I could fill five posts with scripture that proves that he was indeed human.

"I have never encountered anyone who had as much contempt for the intelligence for others as you."

You Sir are completely devoid of intelligence and you have proven that many times. You have your beliefs, which you were taught, and that's all there is to it. Your faith does not equal intelligence.

Now get busy disproving a doggone thing I have stated, taken directly from the Bible, or you need to drop the subject, for you are not equipped to handle any debate over what is contained in the Bible.

What does that have to do with me? I'm not a Mormon. Just because I believe in a monotheistic God, that does not mean that I am a thing you accuse me of being.

The only thing that is for sure, is that I am not a Christian that would be welcome, nor willing, to play in your little sand box.

"I then ask them "Is He God?" and they answer "no" much like you when you say "Jesus cannot be God."

He is one with God now, but he was very mortal and very human before he was crucified, because he was born to a mortal woman and downloaded onto this earth through a human womb.

Biblical scholars estimate that he was human for approximately 33 years.

Deny it all you wish. Since you still refuse to address that which I have cited DIRECTLY from the Bible, and instead, you continue to attack me on a personal level, you're simply not gaining an ounce of ground in this debate.

"I then begin to tell them who Jesus is and their smile quickly fades as they walk away."

And I'm the new Catholic Pope. The more likely scenario is that you wag your finger at them, call them blasphemers and damn them to Hell, and put on a showing of bat-crap-crazy that sends them running for their lives.

If you think that you have demonstrated what a good Christian is, think again. All you have illustrated is why there are in the neighborhood, 21 vastly different religious denominations in this nation and more than 350,000 individual congregations scattered across the country.

And you know what? Each one thinks they have a lock on religious truth. Do you know what else? Probably none of them actually do.

I am not a sheep. I do my own thinking, reasoning, and believing.

You bleat with every post you offer.

I'm wide open for you to refute one word I have offered. PROVE me incorrect with something...anything...if you're up to the task.

So far, you don't have a thing to offer except for personal attacks.

You're just not up to the task of defending your beliefs or positions. Baaaaah.....Baaaaah.

Nooga,

The reason you top any club is because you shift your weight to the right. The easiest drill I know for this is to put something like the grip of the putter under the outside of your right foot so that you cannot roll your foot to the right. Practice keeping the weight on the inside of your right foot, and not moving to the right, and you will hit it square every time. The mistake people make is thinking that a big "wind up" will buy them something. You will hit the ball much further, and straighter, if you just stand there over the ball, avoid rolling your right foot to the right on the backswing, and come through to make solid contact. A well hit light blow gets far better results than a mighty full-body whiff or topping.
