Georgia man says another man bit part of his lip off in a fight

ATLANTA — Police are searching for a man accused of biting off a piece of a man’s lip during a fight in Midtown Atlanta.

Authorities say a waiter was taking a smoke break at Flying Biscuit when the man attacked him last Friday. Police say the fight likely stemmed from a prior argument between the two. Authorities say the waiter asked the man to leave the restaurant when he began soliciting guests for food and money.

WGCL-TV Friday reported the waiter has been unable to return to work since the incident, and the restaurant is planning to pay his medical bills.

Police say the man will be charged with aggravated battery.
