At least 1 person killed in Arkansas plane crash

SPRINGDALE, Ark. - Authorities say a small plane has crashed in northwest Arkansas, killing at least one person.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Roland Herwig in Oklahoma City says the plane crashed Friday evening about 2 miles from the Springdale airport. Herwig says the pilot had reported being low on fuel.

Lt. Emily Augustine of the Washington County Sheriff's Office told the Arkansas Democrat Gazette that no one survived the crash. But she could not confirm the number of people aboard.

FAA records show the plane is a turboprop Beech C90 that's registered to a Camden, Ark., aviation company.
