International String Trio performs Sunday in Crossville - Oct. 6

The International String Trio will make its first foray into Tennessee for a concert at 2:30 p.m. CDT Sunday, Oct. 6, at the Cumberland County Playhouse, 221 Tennessee Ave., Crossville, Tenn. The three musicians -- Slava Tolstoy (guitar, musical director), Ben Powell (violin) and Ippei Ichimaru (acoustic bass), from left -- are alumni of Berklee College of Music in Boston. They pride themselves on their stylistic diversity, delivering gypsy jazz, Appalachian folk, acoustic world music (Irish, Klezmer, Russian, Italian, French, bluegrass), virtuosic classical arrangements and popular songs from movie soundtracks in their shows.
