Sponsors help camp reach its goals

This year continued the tradition of a summer camp organized and managed by community residents of East Lake Courts. This camp has, for over 10 years, provided neighborhood children a safe, educational and fun environment. Mrs. Jessica Lawrence’s Summer Camp 2013 averaged 20 children a day, and it could not have been successful without the many neighborhood sponsors and volunteers.

One of the specific goals at the start of camp was to provide the children with school gear. New Horizon Baptist Church provided each child with a school uniform. Robin and Andy Derryberry of Derryberry Public Relations along with Sarah Basel facilitated communication with Krystal, which generously provided backpacks for each of the children. Thank you to all of our sponsors!
