Fred Skillern elected as new chairman of Hamilton County Commission

Fred Skillern was elected today as the next chairman of the Hamilton County Commission in a unanimous vote.

Commissioners also voted today to delay deciding who will fill the chairman pro tempore seat.

After three votes and a brief recess, commissioners could not come to a consensus. Each vote resulted in a 3-3-3 vote among Commissioners Chester Bankston, Tim Boyd and Jim Fields.
