A duplex fire on Spring Creek Road has left eight people displaced.
At about 3:30 pm Saturday the Chattanooga Fire Department responded with four companies to a structure fire at 209 Spring Creek Road.
Using three hand lines, the firefighters were able to control the blaze, which had spread up the back of the residence and into the attic by the time they arrived. Tarps were also used in an attempt to protect residents belongings from water damage.
No one was injured. The eight individuals displaced include four adults and four children.
It took firefighters about 25 minutes to control the blaze, and the cause of the fire in under investigation.
