Dinner raises $243,000 for Bryan College
What: More than 230 alumni and friends of Bryan College attended the seventh annual Opportunity Dinner to hear author, political commentator and ESPN co-founder Scott Rasmussen. The dinner was held at the Chattanooga Convention Center.
Benefits: The event raised more than $243,000 in pledges and gifts to benefit the college's Opportunity Scholarship fund for students of low-income Tennessee families. During this academic year, 69 students were recipients of the scholarship.
Band-Aid Banquet supports Volunteers in Medicine
What: More than 300 guests attended the annual Band-Aid Banquet held at Abba’s House in Hixson to support Volunteers in Medicine.
Benefits: The event raised $43,000 for VIM’s free medical services to uninsured residents of Hamilton County.
