Crossing guard struck by car at Lookout Valley Elementary School

A crossing guard was struck by a motorist Monday morning at Lookout Valley Elementary School, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

It happened just before 8 a.m. at 680 Browns Ferry Road.

The victim was transported by EMS to a hospital for a broken arm and possible head injuries. The injuries are not considered to be life-threatening, the release stated.

The accident remains under investigation.
