Police: Pantsless woman in Knoxville crash had bottle of vodka in vehicle

KNOXVILLE — An allegedly impaired — and pantsless — woman arrested after a crash that left a mother and her 18-month-old child critically injured had a bottle of vodka in the SUV she was driving, according to records.

Candace Brook Taylor, 34, of Countrywood Drive, was in jail Tuesday on charges of drunken driving, no proof of insurance, violation of the implied consent law, violation of the state registration law and failure to appear for booking on a previous driving offense, according to records. Her bond was set at $2,500.

Bystanders stopped Taylor from fleeing the crash scene at the corner of Middlebrook Pike and Piney Grove Church Road, witnesses said.
