CHARLESTON, S.C. — University of Tennessee at Chattanooga senior Zaccheus Mason has been named the Southern Conference player of the week for games played Dec. 31-Jan. 6.
Mason led UTC to road wins at Furman on Saturday and at The Citadel on Monday. He had 20 points and 13 rebounds against the Paladins then carried UTC in the second half last night with 30 points and 14 rebounds.
“I’m really proud of Z,” UTC Will Wade said on Monday night. “If he’s not the SoCon player of the week, I don’t know who is. He carried us.”
