2 shot in robbery in Chattanooga

Two men were shot while sitting in a car late Friday night on South Orchard Knob Avenue, Chattanooga police said.

According to a news release, Gabino Ramirez, 31, and Fernando Ramirez, 32, were in the car when two men came up and demanded money. The robbers fired into the vehicle. and both Ramirezes were wounded, police said.

They were taken to Erlanger for treatment.

The robbers were described as black, both 20- 25, both 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 and with thin builds. One had his hair in dreadlocks with blonde tips and carried a black pistol, police said.
