Firefighters battle house blaze in Northwest Knoxville

KNOXVILLE — Firefighters battled a house fire Sunday near Victor Ashe Park, but the family that lives there was not home at the time.

There were no injuries and authorities do not suspect foul play.

Firefighters were called to 3230 Kingsmore Drive off Western Avenue shortly before noon. The crew got the blaze under control within 20 minutes, said Capt. D.J. Corcoran in a news release.
