McMinn County Mayor John Gentry has lead in GOP primary

Early voting numbers show that in the three-way Republican McMinn County mayoral race, incumbent John Gentry has the lead.

At 9 p.m., early voting numbers showed Gentry with 2,144 votes.

Challenger Kelly Shepard is in second with 1,397 votes.

In third is Tracy Carter, with 196 votes.

Absentee numbers are not in.
