Mattair double lifts Blue Wahoos past Lookouts

PENSACOLA, Fla. — The Pensacola Blue Wahoos pulled away late to defeat the Chattanooga Lookouts 4-2 in Southern League baseball Friday night.

Travis Mattair's two-run double to right field in the eighth inning broke a 2-2 tie and propelled Pensacola to the victory in the series finale. The Blue Wahoos hit two doubles and two singles in their three-run eighth, and they also capitalized on an error by the Lookouts.

Chattanooga (14-20) grabbed an early lead on O'Koyea Dickson's two-run home run to left in the first inning.

The Lookouts open a five-game home series tonight at 7:15 against Huntsville at AT&T Field. Nick Struck (0-0, 7.71 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Tyler Cray (5-1, 2.08) scheduled for the Stars.
