Man shot in drive-by refuses medical attention

A man was shot and wounded in a South Chattanooga drive-by shooting early Saturday, Chattanooga police said.

The victim, James McCracken, 38, told police he was standing outside 4927 Jeffery Lane when he heard gunshots. He noticed a black vehicle and then realized he had been shot in the right leg.

McCracken refused medical attention and told police he didn't know who the shooter was.
