Signal Mountain, which was just ranked No. 2 on Safe Choice Security's list of Tennessee Safest Cities, has seen a rash of home burglaries in the past few weeks.
Town Manager Boyd Veal sent an email to residents today to alert them that six burglaries have been reported across the town and urge them to be vigilant.
The burglaries all occurred during daylight hours, and the majority involved breaking a window to enter the home, he wrote.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Signal Mountain Police Department at 886-2124.
To dispatch an officer, call 886-2123. In addition to remaining alert of suspicious activity, Veal encourages residents to use their security system if they have one.
