Chattanooga favorites Greensky Bluegrass and Rhonda Vincent will headline the 3 Sisters Music Festival on Oct. 6-7 at Ross's Landing.

The annual free event features performances by some of the top names in contemporary and traditional bluegrass, as well as up-and-coming acts and local favorites the New Dismembered Tennesseans. It is hosted by Fletcher Bright Realty and produced by Chattanooga Presents.

The Dismembered Tennesseans were founded more than 75 years ago by Fletcher Bright and his high school buddies from McCallie School. Bright, who died in 2017, named the festival after his three daughters -- Elizabeth, Ann and Lucy. They, along with brother George, have been active in presenting the event since the beginning.

Greensky Bluegrass has played the festival before, including for the 1oth anniversary in 2016. The group has sold out iconic venues such as the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado and the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Vincent has played in the area many times over the years, including at the Cornbread Festival in South Pittsburg.

The Brothers Comatose, Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper, Tim O'Brien and Sister Sadie are on the Oct. 7 lineup. Performances by Lone Mountain Band, Bluetastic Fangrass and more will kick off the day's schedule.

Headliner Rhonda Vincent & the Rage, Kruger Brothers and The Slocan Ramblers are featured on the Oct. 6 lineup. The host band, the New Dismembered Tennesseans, will open the festival at 6 p.m.

More than a dozen food trucks, along with local brews and spirits and nonalcoholic drink concessions will be available on-site.

The public is invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets, however, no outside food or beverages are allowed. Wheelchair seating will be offered in front of the stage.
