A mountaintop golf course and resort will kick off its songwriters series on May 18 with fan favorites Patrick Davis and Lauren Jenkins Davis performing at the Lookout Mountain, Georgia, resort.

The monthly series continues through October.

A luxury resort, McLemore features a mountaintop golf course and spa. The golf course received national attention in 2020 when Golf Digest named its 18th hole as the "Best Finishing Hole in America since 2000."

McLemore recently opened its clubhouse and on-site restaurant, The Creag, and construction is underway for a hotel on the eastern brow of Lookout Mountain overlooking historic McLemore Cove.

The songwriters series has become popular with fans who enjoy the casual atmosphere that allows the performers to share the stories behind the songs.

"The McLemore Songwriters Series offers special performances on Lookout Mountain for all individuals who enjoy the gifts of emerging and established singer-songwriters, and those who are fans of great music," said IV Whitman, executive vice president of marketing for Scenic Land Co. "We are thrilled for Patrick and Lauren to return to McLemore as the series begins. We have such a special connection with them and we know this performance will be very well attended."

Patrick Davis and Lauren Jenkins Davis have become fan favorites, but McLemore is also special to them. Their 2022 fall marriage at McLemore was featured in People magazine.

Patrick Davis' album "Six String Dreams" launches May 12. Davis first achieved success in 2006 when he co-wrote "Dixie Lullaby," which landed a top 20 place on the country music airplay chart. He has collaborated with Darius Rucker, Jewel and Guy Clark and has opened for many artists including Hootie & the Blowfish and Darius Rucker.

Lauren Jenkins Davis made her debut in 2016 with "The Nashville Sessions" EP, followed by her debut studio album, "No Saint" in 2019.

Tickets for the May 18 performance are on sale now at $55 per person. Due to the limited number of available seats, McLemore highly recommends purchasing tickets in advance. For more information, visit themclemore.com.
