East Ridge drivers will find another blocked route and detour to deal with Monday when the contractor working on the city's ongoing 1.2-mile sidewalk and storm drainage project will close the north side of the intersection at South Moore Road and Ringgold Road for construction work.

Construction at the intersection is expected to continue for about two weeks, city spokesperson Bridgett Raper said in a news release. During the closure, Talley Construction will excavate and install storm drainage pipes and structures across the intersection. Talley started the second half of the project earlier this year.
