Tennessee will not be attempting any attendance records at this year's Orange & White spring football game.

The university announced Wednesday afternoon that the intrasquad scrimmage will be staged inside Neyland Stadium at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 13. However, due to construction on the stadium's south end, west side and upper north end, capacity for the event will be capped around 10,000.

Tennessee moved the Orange & White game in 2022 to the Anderson Training Center due to Neyland Stadium renovations, and there was no spring contest in 2020 amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The 1986 Orange & White contest under the late Johnny Majors set school and national records with a crowd of 73,801. The national standard has since been broken, but the school record remains despite several healthy audiences within the past decade, including 68,548 in 2014 and 58,473 just last year.

Tickets for the spring game will go on sale next Wednesday, and the admission will be $10 for nonpremium seats and $15 for the Lower West Club. Tickets will be sold in donor rank order, beginning with season ticket holders.

The Orange & White game will air live on the SEC Network+ streaming option and across all Vol Network radio affiliates. There also will be big screens stationed in Lot 9 and at the amphitheater outside Gate 21 for fans to not only watch the spring game but also Tennessee's baseball showdown versus reiging national champion LSU later that afternoon at 5:30.

Tennessee's fourth spring under Josh Heupel is scheduled to begin March 18. The Volunteers have won 20 games the past two seasons, matching the program's best two-year mark for victories since the 2003-04 seasons under Phillip Fulmer.
