Chattanooga looking at intervening in Tennessee-American water rate increase

The city of Chattanooga could intervene in a proceeding brought by the Office of the Attorney General opposing a potential water rate increase by Tennessee-American Water Co.

City Attorney Mike McMahan told council members about the intervention tonight during the City Council's regular business meeting. Council members said they would talk and possibly vote on intervening next week.
