Two alleged thieves caught in separate incidents in Bradley County

The Bradley County Sheriff's Office said on Wednesday that two men have been arrested in connection with two separate cases of stolen property.

Brandon Shields, 33, and Kenneth Carroll, 38, were taken into custody on unrelated charges, according to a press release from BCSO. It was not clear what day they were arrested.

Shields is charged with three counts of burglary, two counts of theft over $2,500, theft over $1,000 and vandalism. And Carroll is charged with theft over $2,500, two counts of theft over $1,000 and felon possession of a handgun. He was released on a $20,000 bond.

Shields' vehicle was recorded on surveillance cameras at several local business where property was stolen, according to the press release. A warrant granted for the search of his home on Aug. 4 led to the discovery of the property stolen from the businesses.

As for Carroll, BCSO deputies responded to a location on the 2300 block of No Pone Road based on information that a stolen 2015 Honda motorcycle could be there, according to the press release. The motorcycle was reported stolen last June.

Deputies found the motorcycle along with a Suzuki motorcycle that was reported stolen in Loudon County, north east of Bradley County. A stolen truck was also recovered. No information on the truck was released.
