Tickets going on sale for Cirque du Soleil's 'Corteo' at McKenzie Arena

Tickets for the May 10 Cirque du Soleil show "Corteo" will go on sale Friday at McKenzie Arena, but Cirque Club members have a chance to buy their tickets now, according to a news release.

Advance tickets for "Corteo" are available now online to Cirque Club members through Thursday. Cirque Club membership is free and benefits includes access to advance tickets, special offers and exclusive behind the scenes information. To join, visit www.cirqueclub.com. Tickets will be available to the general public beginning at 10 a.m. Friday on cirquedusoleil.com/corteo. Tickets start at $35 (subject to change).

"Corteo," which means cortege in Italian, has been seen by 8 million people around the world. It is a festive parade imagined by a clown. The clown pictures his own funeral taking place in a carnival atmosphere, watched over by quietly caring angels. The dream juxtaposes "the large with the small, the ridiculous with the tragic and the magic of perfection with the charm of imperfection, the show highlights the strength and fragility of the clown, as well as his wisdom and kindness, to illustrate the portion of humanity that is within everyone, according to the news release.

There will be six performances at McKenzie Arena on May 10-13:

» Thursday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m.

» Friday, May 11, at 7:30 p.m.

» Saturday, May 12, at 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

» Sunday, May 13, at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
