Man receiving treatment for injuries after Tuesday night shooting

A man is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries after he was shot Tuesday night, according to a release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

Calvin Johnson, 18, told police he was shot after getting out of his vehicle on the 700 block of N. Holly St.

A CPD officer was flagged down and called for medical assistance after finding Johnson.

Johnson was transported by Hamilton County Emergency Medical Service personnel to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Members of the Violent Crimes Bureau are investigating the incident. The CPD urges anyone with any information to call police. Callers can remain anonymous.
