Chattanooga police investigate Valentine's Day shooting

A man was shot Valentine's Day evening in the Westside neighborhood of Chattanooga, according to a police department news release.

Officers responded to a shots fired call about 9:05 p.m. Tuesday at the 800 block of W. 14th Street Court and then to a local hospital where a victim arrived suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot injury. The victim arrived at the hospital in a personally owned vehicle

Robert Blocker, 36, told police that he heard the gunshots and then realized he had been struck.

There is no suspect information at this time. Officers with the Violent Crime Bureau are actively investigating this incident and following all actionable leads.
