Home invasion suspect subdued by homeowners after shooting 19-year-old

A man was shot during a home invasion Sunday night.

When Chattanooga police arrived on scene, they found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. 

The victim, Shane Finney, 19, was transported to a local hospital. The suspect, Calvin Carter III, 22, was arrested when police arrived. 

Investigators determined the suspect was attempting to break in Finney's home. Carter was subdued by other people inside the home after Finney was shot. 

Carter is charged with first degree attempted murder, aggravated assault, felony reckless endangerment and especially aggravated battery.
