Corker: U.S. considering North Korea travel ban

WASHINGTON - Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., on Tuesday said the United States could ban Americans from traveling to North Korea after the death of Ohio college student Otto Warmbier.

Appearing on MSNBC, Corker, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said the U.S. needs to re-examine its policies toward North Korea given the death of Warmbier, who had been held captive for 17 months by the Kim Jong Un regime.

The policy review includes U.S. travel to North Korea and the fact that Americans who go there sometimes get caught in situations similar to that of Warmbier, Corker said.
