Missing person case treated as homicide after body found in Polk County, Tenn.

Detectives are investigating the disappearance of a Cleveland, Tenn., man as a homicide after he was found dead in a remote part of Polk County.

Thomas Creek Jr., 34, was reported missing on March 23 by a family member, according to a news release. Witness statements confirmed Creek had been missing since March 14.

Authorities came to believe foul play was involved in his disappearance and their investigation led them to Polk County, where the victim was found dead.

Sean Scott Hale, 26, is suspected of Creek's slaying and there is an active warrant out for his arrest.
