Emergency officials responded to a small electrical fire at 2306 Fairmount Pike, the transmitter site for WRCB-TV Channel 3, after 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Walden's Ridge Emergency Services found no signs of smoke or fire when they arrived on scene after they were notified by an automatic fire alarm.
Officials reported a heavy smell of burning wires. Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to find a small fire in an exterior wall between the sheetrock and insulation.
The building is a non-manned building, and it only suffered minimum damage. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was electrical.
