Calhoun Police have charged a Rossville, Ga. resident in connection with a suspicious package left behind at the Calhoun National Guard Armory in Calhoun, Ga.

At 7:15 a.m. Friday morning, a white male identified as Kenneth LeBron Medley, entered onto the property of the National Guard Armory and spoke with guardsmen demanding they hold a package for President Donald Trump.

Medley, 55, then left traveling south on Rivers Street. A deputy with the Gordon County Sheriff's Office made contact with Medley on Highway 53 and initiated a traffic stop.

"The item does not appear to contain anything that would pose a threat, however we will continue to investigate this incident in an effort to find a definitive answer as to why the package was left at this particular location, and to uncover any possible threats that may exist in connection with this incident," Calhoun Police Department Captain Tony Pyle, said.

Medley has been charged with one count of criminal trespass, and remains in the Gordon County Jail with further charges pending.
