The Hamilton County school board is meeting this evening with several items to be discussed or voted on.
Among those items, three calendar options will be presented. This will be for the 2018 school year, as well as the 2019 school year. An early retirement incentive for teachers will also be presented for consideration.
The Stand Up for School Bus Safety coalition will also present a list of recommendations to the board to increase safety on buses.
The board is also expected to pass a memorandum of understanding to enter a Partnership Network with the state that will include the county's lowest-performing schools.
