UPDATE: The victim in a Friday night house fire has been identified.

James Kline, 78, was killed in a house fire nearly two weeks before his 79th birthday.

ORIGINAL STORY: A house fire claimed the life of a man on the 600 block of 4th Street Southeast in Cleveland, Tenn., Friday night.

Cleveland police Sgt. Evie West, said the 911 call came in just after 7 p.m. Two people - a man and a woman of unknown relationship - were in the home. The woman was able to escape with the assistance of a neighbor.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
