A man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after allegedly assaulting his three-year-old son on North Dent road at the intersection of Thrasher Pike.

Raymond Harden Jr. was reportedly sitting in a vehicle near the intersection of North Dent Road and Thrasher Pike with his girlfriend and her six-year-old daughter and his three-year-old son.

While waiting to meet the biological mother of his son, Harden allegedly threw his cell phone hitting his son in the eye and injuring him.

When the child's biological mother pulled up and approached the car, Harden tossed his son through the window while the vehicle was stopped before Harden spun off and nearly ran the child over.

Deputies located Harden nat his residence on Moses Road and he was taken into custody without incident. Harden's girlfriend said that he also elbowed her daughter in the chin at some point.

Harden's son was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Harden is charged with one count of aggravated child abuse and one count of simple child abuse.
