State incentives boost Tennessee exports

Tennessee businesses will be eligible for up to $5,000 in state grants to support half the expense of one-time export-related expenses under a new program announced Wednesday to boost the state's exports.

Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam, who will lead an April trip to China and South Korea to promote medical device and health care exports, said the new TNTrade program will "open up new markets, explore new sources of revenue and find new customers" for growing small- and medium-sized businesses.
