An Apison-based online monogramming company was selected as a featured gift provider for the Emmy Awards.
Larry King, Brian Williams and hundreds of others in the business soon may be ordering monogrammed gifts after finding a monogrammed ribbon and a $30 gift certificate to TheMonogramDivas.com tucked inside their gift bags at Monday's news and documentary Emmys.
"We've already seen the traffic increase on the site today," said Carol Matisak, founder of the site.
Matisak and one other woman work full time monogramming products such as tote bags, towels, stationery and baby toys. The site was established in October 2009 and ships a few thousand items annually across the country.
Matisak attributes her success largely to her search engine ranking. Entering terms such as "monogrammed beach bags" into Google returns TheMonogramDivas.com as the top result.
