Celebrity chef Paula Deen announced Tuesday that she has diabetes.Paula Deen's Family Kitchens located on the Island in Pigeon Forge will open on Monday, April 27.
The 300-seat restaurant will serve family-style Southern cuisine at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It also includes a Paula Deen Store.
Hours will be 7:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. No reservations are being taken at this time.
