New jobs tileA local staffing agency is planning a job fair Wednesday to hire 100 general warehouse workers in Cleveland, Tenn., and Chattanooga.
Staff Management | SMX said it has a variety of full- and part-time jobs and will conduct interviews from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Holiday Inn Express, at 4355 Holiday Inn Express Way in Cleveland.
"We're excited to connect job seekers with positions in a great working environment," said Mike Dawson, director of operations at Staff Management | SMX. "Our local team is ready to speak with anyone seeking employment to help them get back to work quickly."
Applicants who attend Wednesday's job fair will be able to complete the application process and interview for a position that day. The first 100 applicants will each receive a gift basket, and all applicants will be entered into a drawing for prizes such as a flat screen television and gift cards.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and pass a background and drug test. Positions start at $8.05 an hour, are in a food production environment and require the ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
