Developers want to build a Walmart Supercenter in Harrison on a property wedged between North Hickory Valley Road and Highway 58.

Annexation of 5.5 acres of county property into the City of Chattanooga is part of developers' requests, along with rezoning of the entire 21.5-acre tract to C-2 Convenience Commercial zoning.

The proposed Walmart would be 155,000 square feet and comes on the heels of a slew of small-footprint, grocery-only Walmart Neighborhood Market stores going into the greater-Chattanooga area since last late 2014.
