New $8 million faith-based senior living facility coming to Hixson

A one-story, 64-unit senior living facility is proposed in Hixson on four acres near Abba's House off Northpoint Boulevard. The facility will represent an $8 million investment and is slated to be open by the end of March 2016.

Knoxville-based Dominion Senior Living announced plans Monday to build a new, $8 million faith-based senior living facility at 2143 Northpoint Boulevard in Hixson, to open sometime early next year.

Dominion officials bought the Hixson land from nearby church Abba's House.

The new Dominion facility will be 47,000-square-feet, one story and accommodate 84 residents.

Abba's House will also be a ministry partner to the new facility.
