A Chick-fil-A Express is slated to open downtown on Wednesday with the aim of servicing Chattanooga's business community.

Nick Goebeler, the eatery's owner/operator, said the Express will operate at the bottom level of the Tallan Financial Building, 200 W. M.L. King Boulevard.

He said the site is not a permanent location and it will offer a limited menu for breakfast and lunch Mondays through Fridays.

"There's a demand downtown for the business customer," said Goebeler, who owns the Brainerd Road Chick-fil-A restaurant.

He said the Express location downtown will serve chicken and spicy biscuits and drinks from 7-9 a.m. From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m., it will serve sandwiches, salads and drinks, Goebeler said.

"I think it's going to be well received," he said.
