CBL wins marketing awards from ICSC
The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) honored the best in the industry with the U.S. Maxi Award. CBL & Associates Properties Inc. was given two gold and four silver awards. Shannon Gonzalez, director of advertising and creative services, won gold in the advertising category for the company's 2012 holiday television campaign, while Mary Lynn Morse, senior director of marketing and communications, won gold in the public relations category for food court wars.
Gonzalez and Morse are now eligible for Best of the Best awards in 2015, recognizing those with the most innovative responses to market trends.
CBL Management won a silver award for CBL Cares, an ongoing initiative to improve morale, build team camaraderie and change lives by giving back to the community.
Anderson qualifies for conference
Derrick C. Anderson has qualified for the Edward Jones' Financial Advisor Leaders Conference in May in St. Louis, Mo. The conference recognizes financial advisors who are leaders in the financial services firm. Anderson was among the only 1,003 financial advisors who qualified out of the firm's nearly 12,000 financial advisors in the United States and Canada.
"Qualifying for this conference shows a tremendous amount of discipline, commitment and work ethic," says Alan Kindsvater, an Edward Jones partner responsible for advanced branch training and host of the conference.
Edward Jones' financial advisors work directly with nearly 7 million clients to handle a variety of investment and savings programs.
Tennessee Tub Factory opens
Tennessee Tub Factory has opened in New Hope, Tenn. The company manufactures 23 styles of whirlpool baths and five styles of spas. The company's units are built to fit customer needs by placement of the jets, several custom color options and power modes.
Deering joins Banker Team
Brandon Deering has joined CapitalMark's local Banker Team with Mark Feemster and Allison Roberson. Deering holds a master of business administration degree with a concentration in management and finance from Mississippi State University. Deering joined the company in 2002 as a credit analyst. His areas of expertise include commercial, industrial, and hospitality lending.
"Brandon's background in credit analysis will serve his clients well, as he'll be able to proactively source opportunities for his clients," said CapitalMark's Banking Group head Kenny Dyer. "Additionally, Brandon's reputation for providing exemplary service is demonstrative of the high-caliber quality of professionals we have on board."
Wright recognized with AAF award
The American Advertising Federation of Chattanooga (AAF Chattanooga) has recognized Joy Wright, national sales manager for WRCB-Channel 3, as the recipient of the organization's most prestigious lifetime achievement award: the 2014 Silver Medal. The award recognizes advertising industry professionals who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and who have been active in furthering the industry's standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern.
Wright has worked in the media industry for more than 20 years. She started her career after graduating from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a degree in communication and media studies. She worked for radio station WUSY-FM (US-101), then WJTT Power 94, as account executive and team leader until 2005.
After that, Wright began her career at WRCB-TV as an account executive and is now the national sales manager.
"Joy is a true inspiring leader and continues to make contributions to her industry with her clients' best interests in mind," said Ronnie Minton, advertising promotions manager at WRCB.
Wright has been involved with AAF Chattanooga throughout the duration of her career. She served as president, on the council of presidents, ADDY committee, media auction volunteer, and AAF 7th district state director.
White receives service award
Frank White is Dunlap Industries' Above & Beyond Award recipient.
Each year an employee is recognized by his or her peers as the individual who has most consistently and extraordinarily demonstrated the willingness to do whatever it takes to satisfy customers' needs. "We are fortunate to have Frank on our team. He displayed the true character the award recognizes," company President Robert Kwasnik said.
