Bellhops, the tech-enabled moving company, has joined the ranks of Silicon Valley businesses as a finalist for TechCrunch's 8th annual Crunchies awards.

The Chattanooga startup is one of five companies nominated in the category of "Best New Startup of 2014," along with OnePlus, Product Hunt, Shyp and Slack. The competition, which has 20 award categories, recognizes "the most compelling startups, internet and technology innovations of the year," according to TechCrunch.com. TechCrunch and VentureBeat, among other blogs, sponsor the competition - with winners decided by internet voters, who can weigh in once a day. Voting closes at 2:59 a.m. Jan. 28. Winners will be announced in San Francisco on Feb. 5.
