In Tennessee, 326,350 voters cast early ballots for Thursday's state primary and county general election.
The statewide total is about a 58 percent increase over the 206,174 ballots cast in the same election in 2008, Secretary of State records show.
In Hamilton County alone, 18,170 voted early. That's more than double the 8,136 voters who cast early ballots in August 2008.
State records show 214,029 voters cast Republican ballots and 98,703 filled out Democratic ones.
Early voting ended Saturday. Polls will be open again Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
