Twenty four teachers from five area counties will receive free Kindle Fire tablets donated by Amazon.

The teachers will use the tablets to enhance student learning, especially in the area of science, technology, engineering and math.

Teachers from Hamilton County Schools, Marion County Schools, Cleveland City Schools, Bradley County Schools and McMinn County Schools will be trained on how to best use the wireless devices in their classrooms, according to a news release.

Local Amazon leadership, STEM Innovation Hub leadership and the 24 STEM teaching fellows will meet Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the Public Education Foundation office on East 10th Street for the presentation of the Kindle Fires.
