East Hamilton students stage 'Curious Savage'

The East Hamilton Theater Company will present its spring production, John Patrick's "The Curious Savage," this weekend.

The quirky comedy revolves around the recently widowed Mrs. Savage, who has inherited $10 million from her late husband. Mrs. Savage intends to donate the money to worthy causes, but her stepchildren have other plans. To gain access to the money, they have her committed to a mental facility.

There she meets a variety of misfits, who help her realize that kindness and affection have not been lost in a world that at times seems motivated by greed and dishonesty.

The cast includes Erin Lutz, Gregory Dies, Marisa Goodman, Zuriel Locey, Grant Hancock, Tori Pierce, Jim Cate, Daiane Novais, Vanessa Stubblefield, Rachel King and Graham Jones. Jim Veenstra is directing the production.
