A stage comedy in the tradition of the famed Harvey Korman and Tim Conway sketches from "The Carol Burnett Show" continues its run at the Gem Theater in Etowah, Tenn., the next two weekends.

The Gem Players production of "The Queen of Bingo" features veterans Elaine Baker and Jamie Cline as Sis and Babe, two sisters on the other side of 50 who want to add a little fun and excitement to their lives, if only they knew where to find it. Then bingo!

The comedy by Jeanne Michels and Phyllis Murphy explores the worlds of church bingo, family ties, diet crazes, widowhood, hot flashes and winning. The audience joins in the fun during the "Middle Bird Special," a real bingo game where some lucky audience member wins a free 10-pound frozen turkey at every performance (not really, but it's part of the fun to play along).

Others in the cast include Bill Miller as the sultry-voiced bingo announcer, James Staton as Father Mac and Robbie Blakley as Sister Agrappina. "The Queen of Bingo" is directed by LaMone Rose.
