Students in Signal Mountain Middle-High School's Theatre Department will present "Bye Bye Birdie: A Musical Comedy" in four performances this weekend at the school, 2650 Sam Powell Trail on Signal Mountain.

Show times are 7 p.m. today-Saturday, April 20-22; with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, April 23. Tickets are $7 students, $10 adults and may be purchased at the door.

The musical tells the story of agent Albert Peterson, who fears his business may be destroyed when popular singer Conrad Birdie is drafted into the Army. Romance, mayhem and a lot of singing and dancing ensue as Albert and his secretary, Rosie, come up with a publicity stunt to have Birdie sing Albert's new song, "One Last Kiss," and give one lucky girl from his fan club a real last kiss on The Ed Sullivan Show.
