Four North Georgians will have their original plays performed over five days of productions at the Dalton Little Theatre in Dalton, Ga.

"A Night of One-Acts," opening Friday, March 17, is the chance for theater patrons to enjoy four previously published plays in one evening of entertainment at the DLT.

Tanner Jaco, director of one of the plays, says submissions were accepted in December and January, reviewed by the theater's play selection committee and approved for performance. Auditions for actors to perform in one or all four plays was held and each writer/director chose his own cast. In total, 15 actors from around the region are participating in "A Night of One-Acts."

"Each play is so different and so entertaining in its own way," says Jaco. "'A Night of One-Acts' is a great way for Dalton Little Theatre to feature local playwrights and foster creativity in our community while giving audiences a fun evening out."

Playwrights and their featured works are:

* "Ante Capella," written and directed by Jeremy Pickard of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.

* "Life Is a One-Man Show," written and directed by Jay Adamson, a native of Dalton now living in Charlotte, N.C.

* "Scar'd for Life," written and directed by Adam Cook of Ringgold, Ga.

* "A Murder Mystery," written by Karl Garner, directed by Tanner Jaco of Dalton.
