James Gregory

James Gregory, nicknamed "The Funniest Man in America," returns to The Comedy Catch, 1400 Market St., for shows Friday and Saturday, June 22-23.

Known for his trademark quip "It might be a law, I don't know," the comedian stands onstage with shirt untucked, arms outstretched, grinning like a Cheshire cat while he shares down-home, hilarious, Southern storytelling to which everyone relates.

Gregory is heard weekly on syndicated radio shows hosted by Rick and Bubba, John Boy and Billy, Bob and Tom. Much of his humor is centered on observations about crazy relatives and people obsessed with the slightest change in weather conditions - now referred to as global warming.

Tickets are $25 for either the 7:30 p.m. show on Friday or Saturday's shows at 7 and 9:15 p.m.
